James has chosen three charities for the following reasons:
 |
A local Derby charity that provides palliative care for terminally ill patients. James’s long time friend and business partner David Tivey was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2006. Despite undergoing surgery to remove the tumour, it returned within weeks and tragically he lost his battle for life in November 2006. Less than four months from diagnosis. The Tree Tops nurses provided immense support and comfort both for David and his family.

Having experienced a spinal injury and knowing how very lucky he was to make a full recovery, James never forgot the period between the accident and receiving the news that he would not be permanently paralysed.
The relief was indescribable but James often thinks about the people who receive the opposite news. Totally. devastating.
